The Wedding

For Lily and Noah, it all started in college life at Samford University in Alabama. What began first at a football game eventually grew into a lifelong partnership. Fast forward a few years, they crowned that journey with a beautiful wedding at The Chapel at the Waters in Montgomery, Alabama.

When it came to planning the wedding, they admit it was both enjoyable and overwhelming at the same time. “It was so much fun planning a wedding, but it was stressful at times,” Lily shared.

The big day itself was filled with emotions. Lily remembers being so nervous while getting ready and not being able to see Noah. “As soon as we did our first look we felt like all the nerves washed away,” she said. That first look probably ended up being one of the most special moments of the whole day. “When Noah and I did our first look, I didn’t know if he would cry, but I could hear it in his voice before he turned around. It was so special, and as soon as he turned around the waterworks came.”

The ceremony had its share of funny moments too. When it came time for vows, Noah accidentally paused too long. “Noah was waiting for a cue from the officiant to say “I do” but it never came. There was about 10 seconds before Noah said “I do” and to play it off I waited 10 seconds to say “I do” to make it funny!”

But beneath the laughs, the heartfelt weight of the moment was still there. “Saying yes to Noah was the best day ever,” Lily said, “but to top it was saying ‘I do’ knowing that he was my forever and we get to spend forever together. That was the best feeling I have ever felt.”

Life After "I Do"

Looking back, both agree that marriage has strengthened their bond in ways they didn’t expect. “It made us ask lots of questions that maybe we had not thought about! It was so much fun seeing our strengths and weaknesses during wedding planning but coming together to make an amazing wedding!”

Love in Three Words

When asked to describe their love in just three words, Lily chose: “Special, adventurous and memorable.” Each word seemed to reflect their relationship and the way they approach life together.

Advice for Future Brides & Grooms

When it came to the advice they wanted to pass on to other couples, Lily’s message wasn’t about getting every detail perfect or following tradition to the letter. Instead, it was about being present. “Take it all in, don’t leave each other’s side so you have the same memories from that day! Go say hi to people hand in hand and dance the night away together. You want to remember the day together! It will go by quick!” she advised.

Honestly, we couldn’t agree more. Weddings can feel like a whirlwind, but what really matters in the end is the chance to experience it all side by side. That’s where we’ll leave their story, on a note of joy and good wishes. May their marriage continue to be as special, adventurous and memorable as the day they said “I do.
